Youth in BC transitioning out of care have access to updated supports. Young people in government care will have access to these new and increased supports until the age of 27. You can learn more about the youth transitions supports and services in this infographic.

Learn more about the rent supplement program MCFD Housing Supports

  • Eligible young adults (ages 19-27) may apply for a $600 monthly rent supplement for up to 2 years.

No Limits Earning Exemption (read FAQs here)

  • Effective immediately, a young adult’s income from employment, including self-employment opportunities and wage replacement programs, such as EI and WCB, will be exempt when determining the level of funding they will receive through AYA.
