The School of Social Work at the University of British Columbia is looking for participants for the Asian Child Welfare Research Project. The research project aims to identify the barriers to services within the child welfare system, the existing efforts by community social services to support Asian-Canadian children experiencing maltreatment, and how the child welfare system can make improvements to ensure all children are protected and supported.

Until the end of August 2022, the research team is conducting the following:

  • Interviews with individuals 19 years of age or older with lived experience, who identify as Chinese, East or “Southeast Asian other than Chinese” background and reside in the metro Vancouver or Toronto area. A $50 honorarium will be provided to research participants.

If you are interested or know of anyone who may be interested, visit Asian Child Welfare Research Project for more information.
